Cervical screening
Cervical screening checks the health of the cervix and helps find any abnormal changes before they can turn into cancer. It is not a test for cancer; it’s a test to help prevent cancer.
South Sefton patients can arrange cervical screening appointments by contacting their practice.
Appointments can also be arranged to attend South Sefton Extended Access Service, (part of your General Practice). This operates out of hours 5-8 Monday to Friday and 9-5 on a Saturday. Please contact your practice to arrange an appointment.
Why it’s important to be screened, even if you have received a HPV vaccination
