Vaccination provides a means of overcoming the current covid-19 national emergency that has affected so many lives. However to be effective it must be done fast. The government has asked primary care to lead on this critical initiative of administration of the vaccine. Logistically this is far more challenging than standard vaccination campaigns e.g. flu etc. As such, and for the sake of communities in South Sefton, we need your help. Please see below for the roles available and we look forward to being in touch soon.

There are four categories of help that we need in delivering the Covid-19 vaccination program:   

SUPPORT VOLUNTEERS

Pre-requisites

• Friendly
• Reliable
• Enthusiastic
• Good communication skills
• Functional mobile phone
• No history of convictions
• Able to walk around the vaccination centre

ADMINISTRATORS

Pre-requisites

• Have a functional smart phone
• Reliable
• Enthusiastic
• Ability to input onto computer based health care system
• Good communication skills
• Confidence dealing with patients and general public
• No history of convictions

VACCINATORS

Pre-requisites

• Experience working in a healthcare environment
• Ability to perform an intra-muscular injection
• No history of convictions
• Functional smart phone
• Completion of mandatory online Covid-19 vaccination training with certificate CLICK HERE FOR THE TRAINING MODULE
• Completed basic awareness anaphylaxis and BLS in last year via work or as online modules CLICK HERE FOR THE ANAPHYLAXIS TRAINING MODULE. AND CLICK HERE FOR THE RESUSCITATION TRAINING, LEVEL 1

PRESCRIBER/ DOCTOR

• Active NMC/GMC in the last # years
• History of prescribing
• Confidence in initial assessment and management of an ill patient
• Experience working in a patient facing clinical setting
• No history of convictions
